The 2016 Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration occurred on Monday July 4th 2016,another great Celebration.

"There's a little bit of something here for everyone"

Event highlights included a 5k Road Race/Walk, Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast, a beauty pageant and pizza-eating contests. The Gem Players performed a morning and evening patriotic program. Live entertainment, games and attractions commenced; following the beauty pageant and an impressive band headlined the evenings musical entertainment, performing before and after the fireworks show.

On a typical year between 10,000 and 12,000 people attend the celebration throughout the day. Local businesses and volunteers provide support for the event to make it a success every year.
