Finance Department

The Finance Department oversees the collection of all revenues, accounts payable, administration of grants and administration of employee benefits.  Melissa Henderson is the Finance Director/City Recorder for the City of Etowah and is the only employee in the Finance Department. 

Melissa graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 1988 with a degree in Accounting and has worked with the City since 1990, becoming Finance Director in 1997. Since becoming employed with the city, Ms. Henderson has undergone training and has achieved the status of Master Municipal Clerk.
