Welcome to the Human Resources web page. Margaret Cheek is the Human Resource Director for the City of Etowah.  Our city believes that the most important resource is its employees. There are five departments employing 41 full-time, 13 part-time and 2 seasonal employees.  The Human Resource Director is responsible for all personnel functions for the City. We offer competitive pay and excellent benefits. Our goal in choosing an employee is to be able to provide excellent service to the citizens of Etowah.

Part-Time Library Assistant

The City of Etowah is seeking a Part-Time Library Assistant who is energetic, outgoing, creative, and passionate about public libraries to perform routine library duties including working the circulation desk, assisting patrons with questions, assisting with special programs, etc.  Scheduled working hours will depend on need and program schedule. Candidates must be available to work evening shifts, as well as Saturday shifts.
REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidate will have previous Public library experience.  College courses in English, history,  and library science are desirable.
