The Public Works Department has thirteen full-time employees and three part-time employees that are responsible for residential and commercial garbage collection, street and sidewalk cleaning and maintenance, fleet maintenance, leaf, brush, and general debris collection, building maintenance, and grounds keeping for city property. The department is also responsible for storm water management and drainage.

Public Works Schedules:
            Residential Garbage

Starting Monday, September 20 2010 Garbage pickup will resume at 7:00a.m. The Public Works Recycling Center will no longer accept TV's or computer monitors.

 

Leaf Schedule

The Public Works Department will make every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the citizens and businesses of Etowah. If you have questions, comments or concerns please call or stop by City Hall.

Billy Ingram has been the Director since November 2007 and is a native of Etowah. He spent 7.5 years in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan and Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico. After being discharged from the Air Force, he completed his Associates of Science degree at Cleveland State Community College, a Bachelors of Science degree at Tennessee Wesleyan College, and Masters of Science in Human Relations and Business at Amberton University.
